CSK vs RCB round 2: Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: Law of averages favors CSK: RCB goes clueless on reason for loss

The Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 3 second round match ended up with Chennai Super Kings on the winning side. The law of averages favors Chennai Super Kings - Royal Challengers Bangalore clueless on loss

The Royal Challengers Challenge

The Royal Challengers might have gone a little clueless on what cost them the match. Perhaps, they took the losing Chennai Super Kings team too easily. But it was apparent that in their innings the Royal Challengers did make a few attempts to win. Jacques Kallis's classy batting that maneuvered the gaps could not come handy once more. After Robin Utthappa was dropped, the team depended on him to repeat the trick that he did on his home turf.

But the clear Chennai MA Chidambaram pitch is always a flat wicket which makes Sachin Tendulkar say that it is his favorite ground. Robin Utthappa went out early in the uncertain T20 format of the game. Jakati's bowling was unexpected considering the bowler is little known in the cricketing fraternity. Jacques Kallis could not accelerate the innings after building up a good launching pad. The run out cost not only his wicket but also the game for the Royal Challengers.

The RCB could post only about 161 runs for the Chennai Super Kings to chase who were seriously held up in the 15th over and the run rate did not move much further until Kevin Peterson and Cameron White chipped in with a few shots.

The Chennai Super Kings innings watched from an electric train

I was travelling on train and while going past the stadium a few of us could not resist to take a look for a few seconds. Near the entrance on the train, we could not look at each others' faces just because though we were embarrassed by our acts, cricket is simply irresistible to every Indian. It seemed like eternity when we were seconds away from the Stadium. "Still it has not come," one of the commuters said.

The moment arrived. Voila! Live Cricket from Electric Train. It seemed to be very close. We could make out that Matthew Hayden was playing. The RCB bowler ran into the pitch. The non-striker was attempting a run. Seconds flashed and it was all over! We got back to our seats and I heard some of them speaking, "Hayden is still in,"

Still excited faces! I knew they were going to remain so for long. A surprising candidate was Murali Vijay who could play the best of cricketing shots and help the Chennai Super Kings win the match. Amidst IPL T20 sloggers Murali Vijay did a good job with his bat. Surprising that the Chennai Super Kings could make a win with less of hiccups though they had some after losing two quick wickets of Dhoni and Morkel.

This win helped build the team morale of the Chennai Super Kings! Dhoni's presence has also made the team a better one. There will be significant improvements when the team bowls than bats. Dhoni could maneuver the fielders and fetch wins from nowhere out of the blue. Captain Cool remains cool even when a few catches are dropped. He always thinks about what next to do when something adverse happens. That is what that makes Dhoni win matches than the "Midas Touch" which is pure myth!

It is presence of mind, hard work and ability to be cool all the time that makes Dhoni a very good Captain!
