Indian Cricketers Brawl: IPL Parties: Pub Visits: Cricketers to play Matchings not matches

It is said that when money is made so easily, people do not know how to sustain it or that it leads you to wrongdoings. This has come true with the Indian Team. An anonymous cricketer reveals that cricketers during IPL took to hardore late night partying. Some of them thought they would be back in ten minutes to their rooms but it went on and on. Indian Cricketers had to realize that it was 4AM when they were back from the parties and had to constantly catch up with time to fly to the next destination.

Some of them even had to take the road and rail routes which took them hours. Cricketers were mercilessly exhausted not by the BCCI and the IPL but by the late night parties. The Late Night Parties were only responsible for India's humiliating defeat in the West Indies. Not only the Late Night Parties but the two or more chicks, Indian cricketers took to their rooms before dawn. Imagine the exhaustion! It was not two or three cricketers who took two or three girls to their rooms.

One Cricketer batted and bowled to two or three girls constantly who played (Matchings) within their hotel rooms. Those days of sinners, the days of the greatest of sinners - Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and the 1983 World Cup winning teams were the culprits. Had they taken (to) three chicks at once and bowled and batted, the current Indian players were saved of their disrepute. Angry Indian Cricketers are contemplating a (party) brawl with the cricketers of 80s.

This team is led by Yuvraj Singh with Rohit Sharma as Vice Captain with other players like Ashish Nehra to do the bowling while Yuvraj Singh will do the batting with a long bat - the longest hitter and the most prolific hitter. Yuvraj Singh's prolific scoring ability is well known. He has scored six sexes so far and a lot in domestic batting and first class matchings.

The eligible bachelor will open the innings and will not allow anybody at the non-striker's end. He will bat the two ends and will not allow anybody on the other end. The oldies (80s cricketers) are gearing up and are ensuring 100% fitness to play with the current Sachin Tendulkar of Indian Cricket - (Yuvraj Singh who has scored the most number of runs and six sexes in Matchings).

Kapil Dev finds it the toughest challenge to play with Yuvraj who tops the charts - the prolific batsman he says. "This matchings will be the toughest. Yuvraj's form and class are incomparable," says expert Sunil Gavaskar. Kapil Dev played some matchings in his earlier days and now he lost his form, class, energy, power and fitness.

TV Networks came forward to broadcast these Matchings and Board Of Control for Matchings in India (BCMI) President Yuvraj Singh has sold the rights to Internet Video Streaming websites except 'Youtube' and the list includes Meta**** (Censored), Slu*****(Censored), Por*****(Censored), XVI****(Censored) and so many other websites.

Meanwhile, a lot of youngsters are looking forward to get to (p)lay the Matchings but BCMI (Board of Control for Matchings in India) President and Opener Yuvraj Singh remains a tough clique.

Rule One and Only One: No Non-Striker's End!

CSK vs KXIP: Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab: Preity Zinta relieved over KXIP victory

The Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab IPL 3 match was won by Preity Zinta's Kings XI Punjab. The actress was completely elated over an unlikely victory. Dhoni to carry more weight post recovery

Well! Kudos to ourselves when we said the Chennai Super Kings is an ordinary team! Of course, Chennaiites are unlucky to have gotten a rather mediocre team and now the fact is substantiated by the Chennai Super Kings losing out to Kings XI Punjab. The Kings XI Punjab did not look any closer to victory for more than three quarter of the entire match.

The Chennai Super Kings may have gotten an age old Matthew Hayden, clean striking and spearheading Dhoni, a wily off spinner Muttaih Muralitharan, but at times they cannot break free when they really have to. In today's match, it was Muttiah Muralitharan who downsized the Kings XI Punjab to a meager total of 136 for the loss of 7 wickets with his magical spell of 3 wickets for 16 runs.

Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab - Kings XI Punjab won the match against Chennai Super Kings

A nail-biting finish and beyond! This match was like life after death. The Chennai Super Kings had let the match go down to the wire! The Chennai Super Kings lost the match from 65 for no loss. Wickets falling in quick succession led to the downfall of the Chennai Super Kings. The Chennai Super Kings were left stranded at 136 for 8 losing the wicket of Ravichandran Ashwin at the last ball of the 20 overs.

The Chennai Super Over

The tie breaker was announced with a Super Over. Three of the batsmen from both the teams get to play six balls. Both teams can lose a wicket. The Chennai Super Kings took Matthew Hayden, Albie Morkel and Suresh Raina. The Kings XI Punjab chose Mahela Jayawardene, Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan. The bowler they chose was Juan Theron.

Albie Morkel played a single and gave the strike to Mongoose bat Hayden who was bowled out the very first ball he faced. Then, Suresh Raina went on to score a six to post a Super Over total of nine runs. Then, awaiting their turn, the Kings XI Punjab came up with Mahela Jayawardene to open who scored a six off Muttiah Muralidaran's very first delivery. Repeating the loft, Mahela Jayawardene was caught in the deep (Long on).

Then came the fiery Yuvraj Singh who was out of form until today and was involved in a controversy recently with Aanchal Kumar where he was found in a party with the model. Yuvraj Singh missed one (delivery off Muralitharan) and then reverse swept (another delivery from Muralitharan) to score a four! The Kings XI Punjab scored the Super Over target of 10 runs set by the Chennai Super Kings to win the match!

Kings XI Punjab won their first match in IPL 3 - Preity Zinta all smiles over the win

The Kings XI Punjab won their first match in IPL 3 while Chennai Super Kings lost their second match in the IPL in four of the matches they played so far! Chennai Super Kings remain at the fourth place in the IPL 3 points table while the Kings XI Punjab move a position up to Seventh

Chennai Super Kings won the IPL match with Dhoni's effort - Sourav Ganguly's Kolkata Knight Riders lose their first game in IPL 2010

Sometimes it seems that the IPL is a lackluster extravaganza but all the ideology goes bang along with each and every six that is scored. When Mahendra Singh Dhoni bats Chennai Super Kings singlehandedly to a comfortable win, the interests are alive. Probably, I am as hypocritical as some of the Sex Scandal Swamijis.

When Matthew Hayden failed, when a rather inexperienced Suresh Raina did and all other specialist players did, Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni leads by example. He is the first ever Captain who has done so. Some of the Cricket lovers argue that it is Sourav Ganguly who started this trend but it is true that Sourav Ganguly lead from the front but when the team is down in spirits, it is Mahendra Singh Dhoni who shows what next to do.

"Do as I do, Don't do as I say," goes well for the Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This is characteristic of Dhoni even in One Day Internationals, T20 Internationals and also the IPL. He seems to have a surefire plan to win! Sometimes, I feel that Dhoni takes a backseat and lets the opposition take advantage.

He seems to be complacent and then suddenly the team which should have lost by 140 runs goes on to score a 250 to lose. This is a common occurrence. I have seen this in Dhoni's Captaincy but it is also not true that he sits complacent and takes some rest when he feels he is good enough to win.

So many of the Captains in the past have failed to win in crucial encounters just when they seemed to be winning all along. That includes Mohammed Azharuddin and even Sourav Ganguly to some extent. By the way, incidentally, Dhoni won against his former Captain Sourav Ganguly yesterday!

The Mahendra Singh Dhoni Trivia

Yesterday, when Sunil Gavaskar asked Dhoni before the toss, if Dhoni liked to be called Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Dhoni, MSD or Mahi, Mahendra Singh Dhoni said, he liked being called "Mahi" as that is what friends used to call him when he was young. People called him in various names and he always liked being called "Mahi". Then, a moment later, Sunil Gavaskar said, "I am not holding you up.....," the toss was already going to happen.

Dhoni ran towards those present for the toss. He probably was thinking that the Camera was not yet switched on. But then, it was for everyone to see. Dhoni again embarrassingly had to join Sourav Ganguly and had to run once more towards him. Then, as luck commanded, Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first which did not seem to be a wise decision.

Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders - the toss and the 2010 IPL

When Sourav Ganguly was asked about the decision, he said that he would have opted to field first, had he won the toss. It seemed that Sourav Ganguly was apparently happy with Dhoni's decision and seemed to indicate that batting first was a wrong decision to make.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that if their (Chennai Super Kings) strength was batting, they would be advised to chase, but if their strength was batting, they could post a huge total on the board and let the opponents chase. As it turned out, Sourav Ganguly seemed to be right with his remarks and was probably pleased with the result in the initial overs.

But then, a determined Mahendra Singh Dhoni took the crease and made sure that the team posted a decent total on the board. Dhoni's 66 off 33 balls along with Subramaniam Badrinath's 43 off 33 took Chennai Super Kings to a total of 164. Things could change within a few overs in Twenty20 Cricket and Dhoni did not fail to utilize that.

In the second innings Dhoni's men pulled off a comfortable victory by a big margin by Twenty20 standards. The partnership between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Subramaniam Badrinath was 109 in just 65 balls which helped the Chennai Super Kings to victory.

However, bad luck continues for the Chennai Super Kings as Dhoni is out of IPL 2010 for ten more days due to an injured elbow. It remains to be seen how the inexperienced Suresh Raina will lead the side. There also can be a better choice for captaincy but the inexperienced Chennai Super Kings might have to go with Suresh Raina as the Captain. I personally reckon Lakshmipathy Balaji could become the Captain for the next few games of the Chennai Super Kings until Mahendra Singh Dhoni returns.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni - a successful icon of modern youth

To all the youngsters, Mahendra Singh Dhoni may remain the icon or the ideal person who inspires to bring success into their lives! Dhoni uses sheer intellect, intelligence, presence of mind, talent, ability, hard work, clarity of thought and mind to become the most successful youth icon! Even Yuvraj Singh has not lost to Dhoni when he was considered to be the potential Captain after Rahul Dravid.

Yuvraj Singh lost out to his own imbalances in mind, heart and physique. Dhoni could keep himself physically coordinated by his mind which is the most important thing to a sportsman. The mind and body coordination is what that keeps Sachin Tendulkar going and this does for Dhoni too!

The emotional competency of Dhoni was absent in Yuvraj! And Dhoni's emotional competency was not due to his upbringing or his childhood experiences, but it is one of sheer maturity and understanding. Let us hope that Dhoni could win the 2011 Cricket World Cup with ease with a determined Sachin Tendulkar beside in his armory!

Sachin Tendulkar and AR Rahman

"I think I always invent or discover! But history never lets me do so!" - Me :)!

I was lazy enough at night to do a Google search on AR Rahman and Sachin Tendulkar as I was about to write their having a lot of things in common! Out of curiosity, I did have a search after I posted the previous article! Such an article had already arrived when Mohammed Kaif was playing cricket for India! I had the same comparison conception plenty of years back which was a random thought that kept recurring!

But just as you have Sachin and Rahman being similar, there are thinkers who think similar! "Wise men think alike" is always a consolation prize in reality! Here is an article that interested me from a blog!

A startling but very logical coincidences between 2 of the greatest men of 90s. They characterized the 90s and were icons of the youth at that time (including me). Just see the startling similarities between these 2:

Comprehensive similarities between A.R.Rahman and Sachin Tendulkar:

Entry into their respective fields:
A.R.Rahman: 1992
Sachin Tendulkar: 1989

They were an instant hit because:
A.R.Rahman: Blasting music, classical songs at a very young age
Sachin Tendulkar: Swashbuckling batting and a great cricketing sense at a very young age

How they stood out from others?
A.R.Rahman: First to bring digital touch to Indian music and compose fusion that no one else dares to think off
Sachin Tendulkar: First to explore the first 15-over field restrictions, score centuries at bouncy, tough tracks like Perth.

As time moved on:
A.R.Rahman: Stopped producing blasting music, instead delivered Classical melodies like Taal & swades out of maturity.
Sachin Tendulkar: Stopped going over the top to bowlers, instead played exquisite drives and late cuts and produced innings with a lot of maturity.

Character similarity:
A.R.Rahman: Shy towards media and lets his keyboard answer his critics
Sachin Tendulkar: Shy towards media and lets his bat answer his critics

Media point of view:
A.R.Rahman: Darling of Mumbai and London press
Sachin Tendulkar: Darling of Mumbai and London press

International attention:
A.R.Rahman: Admired by Andrew Lloyd Webber , Micheal jackson (who wore a t-shirt having Rahman's photo on it which says, "Legend, I salute you!") and many other international music reviewers who want him to compose for Hollywood films.
Sachin Tendulkar: Adored by the man himself the "DON Bradman", Mike Atherton (who compared Sachin to W.G.Grace) and a never ending list of Australian, English, Kiwi, West-indian players.

Earnings:
A.R.Rahman: Draws 1 Crore/ film, ambassador of Bharti telecom, sizzled with the Airtel ad
Sachin Tendulkar: unimaginable money on contracts with big commercial giants and sizzles in Pepsi ads

Records:
A.R.Rahman: 4 national awards, 16 filmfare awards, his music sold 200 million copies around the world and success rate of 80%+ album sales in Indian movies.
Sachin Tendulkar: Look at this for a record: 46 ODI centuries, 47 TEST centuries, 17,000+ runs in ODI's, 44+ average in ODI's and 52+ average in Tests. What else u can ask for?

Popularity:
A.R.Rahman: Has a huge fan following in India and in south he is a demi-god and captures the imagination of NRI's throughout the world.
Sachin Tendulkar: According to a survey, he is the most popular man in the Country edging out the Prime minister and Shah-rukh-khan. He is popular in places like the U.S where even the game is not that popular (featured in an exclusive article in an American sports magazine)

Career Graph & Present form:
A.R.Rahman: Had fabulous nineties with all his albums doing well in this time. Reached dizzying heights during this period. Had flops with major banners since 2001, which got the critics interested. Had a great 2003 within this lean patch with Boys creating sales records. His fans base however is intact, proved that with success of "A Ah" album.

Sachin Tendulkar: The star of 90’s, his batting propelled him into a youth icon status in India and was concurred with many awards from the government. Being pressurized by the detractors for an imaginary loss of form and injury worries since 2001. Had a great world cup 2003 scoring runs at will. Recently has had a good innings in a one-day match to prove that he is still fit.
(Their career-graph is one of the most fascinating things I have ever noticed, they always seem to have good times together. Bad times also coincide for both of them)

Fans:
A.R.Rahman: Die-hard fans want him to go back to 90’s style of composing
Sachin Tendulkar: Never say die fans want him to take up 90s style of swashbuckling batting.

Successors:
A.R.Rahman: His successors like Yuvan shankar raja and himesh reshammiya are more successful than him right now but no way near to him in terms of class. (I disagree with this point)
Sachin Tendulkar: Yuvraj Singh, Mohammed Kaif (with this one also) are more popular with people than him right now but as the old west-Indian saying goes: FORM IS TEMPORARY BUT CLASS IS PERMANENT.

Duplicates:
A.R.Rahman: Has a duplicate called Harris jeyaraj who not only copies his music and composing style but also his hairstyle and way of speaking in interviews. (Highly agreeable point)
Sachin Tendulkar: Virendar sehwag, a natural duplicate of Sachin Tendulkar with looks and batting style similar to him. Virender Sehwag is called as the “Najafgarh ka Tendulkar”. (Najafgarh is Virendar sehwag’s hometown.)

Where will they end up?:
A.R.Rahman: Probably will put India into the world map of music and create records which upcoming Indain M.D's can just dream off.
Sachin Tendulkar: It would probably take an android or a special species of human being to erase his record in Cricket. Will always be remembered as the greatest ever Batsman of modern era!

What fascinated me was the similarity in the thoughts of Harris Jeyaraj as the duplicate for A.R.Rahman and Virender Sehwag as the duplicate for Sachin Tendulkar. Virender Sehwag became famous in the year 2001, I guess with his quick hundred against New Zealand, if I am right. Similarly, Harris Jeyaraj became famous in 2001 with 'Minnale".

This comparison was already made and posted on a forum by a guy called Maddy! The other thoughts are my own!
