Sachin Tendulkar vs Ricky Ponting

Ian Chappell and his beloved brother Greg Chappell once blatantly tried to end the genius's career by saying that Sachin was at the fag end of his career. Who had taken them seriously? Greg Chappell sensed that the reason behind Sachin Tendulkar's success was nothing but his opening the One Day innings.

He suggested that Sachin step down the order to make himself play better. It was because naturally lower order batsmen do not get much opportunities to score as top order batsmen do. The reason behind this is the seemingly outspoken and honestly commenting former cricketers tried to end the career of the genius for Ricky Ponting to beat all the records Sachin has made.

I personally do not match Sachin Tendulkar against Ricky Ponting. I do not feel any greatness on either side in doing that! But now Sachin Tendulkar has become the master! I hope Greg Chappell and Ian Chappell are available for one more round of interviews in India and some reporter puts forth this question!

It would be interesting to see what the two former greats will answer to this question!

Sachin Tendulkar and I

Tendulkar and I share the same birthdays. He was born on 04-24-1973 which translates into April, 24, 1973. I was born on the same day though a fourteen years later in the year 1987.

Sachin Tendulkar better than Bradman

Have you wondered if Bhajji was right? Harbhajan Singh who had said that Sachin Tendulkar was better than Sir Don Bradman feels to me as rather right with his remark. But there is more to it that might count to make a player either better than Sir Don Bradman or at par with the great!

Earlier Cricket was only Test Cricket! The game has been in existence over the past couple of centuries but cricket became popular since the very beginning of the twentieth century. But then there were not much developments on the game during a Bradman. Sachin Tendulkar was the destiny's child who chanced upon the game by destiny at a time when the impact of One Day Cricket was felt upon the Test Cricket Runs Per Over.

A time when Test Cricket was played with four runs per over. Sachin Tendulkar was one who came to the game after India won the World Cup. The Indian Team, I believe, had hitherto been an underdog in the ODI format ever since the first World Cup. I mean prior to the World Cup win in 1983.

Sachin Tendulkar had an innate ability with the bat which came at the very age of three. His love for the game could have started much before he held his first bat and took his stance.

Sachin and Bradman

Sachin Tendulkar vs Sir Don Bradman is the debate that was once initiated when Sir Don Bradman observed that Tendulkar's batting style was similar to his. He was a prolific run scorer and so was Sachin. They both played the same kind of shots. I had not known a certain Bradman before Sachin Tendulkar was invited by the great man! But I always knew Sachin Tendulkar since two years after my birth.

Who would know how Don Bradman would look at the one day game, if he were young and he would play it? So Sachin Tendulkar's cricket coincided with the proliferation of the One Day format and it is surprising that Twenty 20 has not had much impact on him. The twenty 20 format of the game can be ranked much below the willowing skills of the master!

The younger players of the Indian team who put up very good occasional shows are much humbled by the presence of the God before them. They know the caliber of the man.

To me, I understand that Bhajji's remarks come as a backlash against the Australian fraternity with whom he has had the worst of tiffs with. It is not only the chancing upon on the evolution of the game that has made the little man great!

It is love, passion and ability all intertwined to make Sachin Tendulkar the God!

Quotes about Sachin Tendulkar

Here are some of the quotes about Sachin Tendulkar which came from the mouths of famous cricketers and personalities:

Brian Charles Lara, "If Cricket is a religion, Sachin is the only God,"

There is more to it than meets the eye, specially with the "only God,"

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, "He has scored 17000 runs. I have not even faced 17000 balls,"

To me, meaning no harm and offence to Dhoni, this quote is ambiguous and I have not heard it in the full context.

Anil Kumble, "I am fortunate that I have to bowl at him only in the nets,"

Allan Border, "It's scary! Where the hell do we bowl to him?"

From the shoes of a bowler, this has been stated true by many best bowlers of the world.

Paul Strang, "What we (Zimbabwe) need is 10 Tendulkars,"

Utterly impossible. Never can happen.

Matthew Hayden, "I have seen God! He bats at number 4 for India in Tests and opens in ODIs,"

The best form of expression!

It is like seeing God or something close to it! If such an admiration and praise can be attained by sheer passion, hard work, love for the job, then it puts all questions into different equations which each and everyone who has not attained it or has been craving to attain is bound to feel!

Sachin Tendulkar Bharat Ratna Award

Sachin Tendulkar has been nominated for the Bharat Ratna Award and he rightly deserves so! After all, what could you say about a man who has lived all his life with achievements? Every criticism about the direct incarnation of the God has been dispelled. I could only be happy with the hero of my childhood continuing to reign supreme as the hero of my youth.

I can watch him play for eternity and cry forever whenever he gets out. These days, a subtler version of the crying is to subtly switch off the TV and take a walk. If there are abilities, they are always there inside a man. It was absurd when people said he lost his touch and stroke making. Mind you! I heard Ravi Shastri saying that batting is simply muscle memory for the little man.

I would like to also mention people like Gavaskar and all the players of yesteryears who call Sachin as the best of players in the world despite their being called the same at several points of time. Let him live cricket, as he always does, as long as he wants. I am even more happy if the speck of support that I provide will make him stay longer in the game and create more of records.

Sachin Tendulkar has the power of a billion individuals and despite the presence of my support, he will always keep going and make and break many more records!

Budget 2010 - Positive

The Budget 2010 definitely creates a positive wave across the aam aadmi (common man) like me;) It is a very good move to reduce taxes and thereby increase the purchasing power of the Indian population which will reflect upon the GDP growth as well at the end of the year.

That will create even more of a positive sign. The increase in Petrol prices seem marginal though an additional price hike may be lurking. But somewhat have been mystified by why Congress has been trying to woo and coax the aam aadmi through hoops. The General Elections seem to be much far away to my knowledge and there is still time left to woo voters at the fourth or fifth year of the Congress's tenure.

The rice in Petrol prices has not come across as an internationally functional phenomenon but the wrath of the electorate still rages over it. The tax exemptions and concessions on direct taxes will not reach the aam aadmi agaain because most of the population do not even fall under the tax bracket with their annual income falling behind Rs. 1,60,000.

I would gleefully take disagreements on that. But to some, like if I were part of the taxable population of India, which I cannot be anyway due to my being a professional, I would believe certainly that the taxable population is more in number. If I were to belong to the other part of the public, I would feel that I have been exempted from the flurry of benefits to the so called "aam aadmi".

If I were to feel so as an "aam aadmi", I would never be able to achieve that feat under such instance, and I would crave to being the taxable population within which years pass by and I am no way closer to being taxed due to the new tax brackets that will tease me from a new checkpoint.

The never ending mirage continues for the de facto aam aadmi who is about his business not being aware of what the whole plethora of complex jargons imply (Even I cannot with some;)). He remains unaware of how the economy and the markets function.

Even this article is not dedicated to the aam aadmi, and this is not a communist response to the every single move of the government. I would myself never dare to express my own views on Communism to an ardent Communist. However, I was about to talk on different issues whilst being instinctively guided upon the state of aam aadmi.

Interesting to see that the auto junkies had the major price slashes last year between the third and the fourth quarter. That was very much indicative of the country's progress and the GDP. But the autos do not seem to be the government's favorite. Petrol prices are always the fate of every Indian.

To increase consumption through tax cuts is appreciable. The most appealing of all is the allocation for infrastructure whereby the stock prices and the job opportunities will spiral hugely upwards.

Any budget is always subjected to mixed reviews and the aam aadmi seems to be receptive as well as ignorant of the budget and its consequences. The unrest following a budget has hardly risen. This is a sign of the optimism people hold towards the functioning of the government and the economy.

Sachin Tendulkar 200 runs

The master has given 200 percent of himself. What more can you ask of Sachin Tendulkar? At this historical moment, that just happened minutes before, I do not want to take a lash at the critics who did a hatchet job on Sachin Tendulkar during the least of his failures. I would request them not to do it again.
Get my eBook here :)
If Sachin Tendulkar were to quit cricket some two or three years back, then there was no history made today. The proud that such a history was made by an Indian who is termed the Cricketing God of the world, is more than enough to suffice. While Sachin Tendulkar was on 110 or 120, I was feeling like he had never scored enough.

That is the greed that I want to see Sachin Tendulkar play. I would take some other time to lash out at critics who prophesied the end of Sachin Tendulkar. Dear Critics, that is never to be! And you are as wrong as a murky astrologist!

Sachin Tendulkar is the living God of Cricket! There is no denying that! Let him play as long as he wants to because there is nobody who knows cricket better than Sachin Tendulkar! An arm chair as you are - no match to the little master! The maestro lives and he still does! He will do so as long as he wants to!

He is the best astrologer for himself! Please do not predict his career! Your predictions were shattered to all parts of the Captain Roop Singh Stadium! His new willow answered all your questions with a slap on your ugly faces! Just as Langeveldt today, you are ready to take the boxing bout!

Sachin Tendulkar is the king of cricket! He is the God of Cricket! Please do not incur the wrath of God! If you want to prove yourself a genius, there are a lot of ways! But Sachin Tendulkar is not one! Sachin Tendulkar's love for the game is still in tact! In fact, the love craves for more!

Sachin Tendulkar will be etched in Cricketing history for my Great Granddaughters and sons to see! Sachin Tendulkar might have played 442 matches so far, but he has made a thousand records! All of Sachin Tendulkar's records cannot be broken by all the cricketing fraternity out there including the Pontings and the Laras.

The God of Cricket lives on forever in the history of cricket! He is one of the greatest ambassadors of the game! Cheers to Sachin Tendulkar! 2011 will mark the peak of his career and there is no saturation point even after that! Sachin Tendulkar seems to keep going for another five more years!

He is as fit as that! He is still young as he always was or as he was when he was sixteen years old! I have been watching him since childhood and cricket is boring without Sachin Tendulkar! There is no cricket without Sachin Tendulkar! He will keep going and make as many records as possible and will also break and snub the noses of his critics! Love you Sachin! There is no match for you in the world of cricket!

You are the best! Sachin Tendulkar is the best in the history of the game! There will be no one to match Sachin till the turn of the next century! I do not want to finish and I will keep going as long as Sachin Tendulkar does! Keep going Sachin! We are with you!

How to Review a Movie

"While reading gobbledygook of reviews, I read the dictionary more than I read the review; not that my vocabulary is poor but I am much beleaguered by how much the critics encrypt their tone with the words that are not found even in the dictionaries."

This is the one-liner, or probably two or three liners that I have written after being frustrated by some of the self-centered reviews that gave vent to personal views on movie reviews. All of us watch movies and most of us want to review the movies that we watch. We want to learn how to review. We want to learn how to write a review and post it on our blog or any of the websites.

But then, the large looming question is on what makes a movie review as successful as the movie is. If that was the case, which review was. Was any review more famous than a movie? This seems a pointless argument where a movie review does not actually take enormous amount of advertisement and is not the right entertainment proposition.

Let me come to the point, a movie review is nothing but the one in which you express your feelings post the movie watching experience. All of us do the same after watching a movie. We can instinctively feel that a movie has been good, bad or ugly. But then, when people with some common sense of the general thinking patterns of varied sects of people come up with a review, that becomes a review.

Let me clarify the point even further. The question of how to write movie reviews hints at a simple answer that movie review writing depends upon a fair amount of knowledge in writing and logic and nothing more. Many a times, mere audience of films seem to possess these skills. The reason behind the worst gobbledygook language is that it makes the review look like one of superior knowledge that observed the film right from all subtle details to the overt ones.

And also what sort of encryption they are to do with the masking of language is still in question. However, reviews must be ones that express honest opinions on films. If they are so, they will be appreciative of the smallest of efforts that filmmakers take towards reaching a wider global audience.

Despite the century of existence of films in this country, there has always been a premature approach towards film making. The film industry is still in its infantile stages of using plots, storyline, making, technology, marketing strategies and exposure to market films than the easy reliance heavily put upon plagiarized song sequences, commercial formula and fight scenes to do the job.

This understanding must be termed a gross misunderstanding of sorts. It is high time that reviewers helped this realization amidst the audience, the filmmakers etc. After all we are inching towards a wider commercial success involving a lot of new audience across cultures! This is even more of a great commercial success and breaks the barriers between the long extinct art films and commercial films.

These days, all the films are commercial and even films that belong to the genre of realism like the City of God is at its best entertaining! The new age developments are positive signs for the film industry and reviewers play a vital role in not discouraging them and help shape them!

Quotes that Google does not find

I am crazy about quotes because I get them in my life where the ones that trigger these quotes or thoughts are important events that take place in my life. I have a habit of recording the time the thought occurred, if I am before a computer of a piece of paper. If not, then, I record the time I take writing it.

I am never found on Google search lists due to my low commercial value. Nevertheless, I hope Google must find me one day. My quotes are not too ambitious but are, in fact, remnants of my life and of the events that take place in them! Here we go, some of my quotes:-

1:50 AM, 6-1-2010

If people don't understand my vision, they will later do.

10:49 PM, 07-01-2010

I would have ruled the world had I been born a musician! And that's the power of not me, but music!

10:51 PM, 07-01-2010

The problem is not with the world being unjust! But with our expectation of the world to be just!

Forgetting turns a positive thing when it is coupled with forgiving!

Consciousness always says what you do is right but it is conscience that says what you have done is right or not!

A momentary lapse should give you manifold rise!

If you have everything to bitch about, then you do not have life to live about!

Kinesthetic perception precedes visual perception and then the perception is confirmed by vision!

Mind believes vision primarily. A bus conductor might wiegh a coin in his hands before taking a visual confirmation of the same!

A regular train commuter feels the speed of the train first to arrive at a realization that he is near his destination! He then looks around to confirm the fact! He is so used to the speed of the train near his destination!

Success of a love story:-

My ex-girlfriend is now my wife who is the mother of a child, for which I'm the Father!

There are two most difficult things to refrain; one is polygamy and the other plagiarism. There is plenty of both available
but none, any usable.

11:13 PM, 07/02/2010

I am a closet poet which feels worse than being plagiarized! And to post it on my blog and not find it on Google is even worser!
