CSK vs MI: Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians: IPL 3 (2010) Final won by Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians - The IPL 3, 2010 Final. Proud moment for Chennai and Chennai Super Kings. Chennai erases long time Stigma.

The team looked unorganized and looked like nine pins or eleven individuals. Today, the Chennai Super Kings becomes the proud winner of IPL 3 2010. The IPL 3 Final Match started on 25, April 2010 and Chennai turned a winner on 26th of April 2010.

Dark horses than underdogs - Chennai Super Kings eventually won the IPL 3 Championship with sheer effort and Dhoni's captaincy. Mahendra Singh Dhoni proves to be the best Captain India has ever had in any form of the game. Mahendra Singh Dhoni placed the Indian Team top of the Test Match Rankings.

Chennai Super Kings (W)innings

The Chennai Super Kings played at about 6 an over until 15 overs when Suresh Raina stepped on the gas and accelerated Chennai to a score of 168. Raina turned the lone star of the match scoring a briskly paced half century. He rocketed Chennai to a good total to defend.

Raina was dropped twice by three of the Mumbai Indians fielders where two of them avoided a collision and let the ball drop to the ground. Zaheer khan dropped a catch in much of a clumsy manner proving to be not one of the best of fielders.

The Chennai Super Kings fans did not feel that the total was inadequate and believed that the team stood a chance to win.

Mumbai Indians innings

Sachin, though injured, played the game as a true warrior. Sachin Tendulkar would never want to sit at the dressing room and watch his team lose. Sachin Tendulkar played as far as he could and the fall of his wicket at 48 paved the way for Chennai's win.

A few blunders on the part of the Mumbai Indians made them lose the game. Saurabh Tiwary, Keiron Pollard and Ambati Rayudu could have taken the crease earlier than Harbhajan Singh who lost his wicket for one run. They did not look like accelerating and the Chennai Super Kings restricted them to less than 5 or 6 runs an over.

As Abhishek Nayar got out, we witnessed something that has never been seen. Sachin Tendulkar hit the ground with his bat hard out of frustration. This win mattered most to him. Keiron Pollard looked like taking the game away from the Chennai Super Kings but somehow fell to a trick by Dhoni who fielded Matthew Hayden almost on the side screens in mid-off.

Keiron Pollard was hitting straight and a good pair of reflexive hands as Matthew Hayden's could endure his cracking shots. This was discussed on the Presentation Ceremony (Just as I am typing now) and Dhoni gave an impressive answer stating that powerful hitters hit straight on the ground and do not sweep or do late cuts. So, there is no point in having a fine leg.

Dhoni is worth the money

Dhoni (as I am typing) will go last to collect the medals letting his team go first. Dhoni is one of the highest paid cricketing stars in the IPL. He goes for achievements after achievements and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (is collecting the cheque and the trophy as Ravi Shastri announces) is worth all the money spent on him by India Cements.

While Ambani would have been slightly disappointed, one has to feel bad for Neeta Ambani who would have been lifted in the air by the aggressive Harbhajan Singh for one last time in this tournament - IPL 3, 2010!

Lalit Kumar Modi in his final address rubbished claims on the IPL for having been involved in large scale scams and practicing faulty methods of trade. IPL was almost called a gamble and match fixing allegations engulfed the IPL 3. Hardcore partying also added to the controversies! But this is not to be talked about now! This is a proud moment for Chennai fans!

Both the Chennai Super Kings and the Chennai Super Kings' fans can celebrate as long as possible.

CSK vs DC: Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers: Dhoni's judgment goes right

The Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers IPL 3 Semi-Finals 2 match ended with the Chennai Super Kings on the winning side. Chennai cruised through to the Finals to compete against the Mumbai Indians for the IPL3 Championship.

IPL is engulfed by controversies but not cricket. Cricket seems to go on. Chennai Super Kings posted a low total and went to the stadium as an eleven with Dhoni's gut instincts. The Chennai Super Kings could easily put behind Deccan Chargers despite their exuberant super hitters.

The Deccan Chargers could not chase a mere 143 and the Deccan Chargers' wickets fell cheaply like Ten pins. It is intriguing to Chennai on the final from nowhere. They seemed to be the team with lowest possibility of getting through to the Semis.

But now, they are through to the finals while others considered to be potentially in the race failed to get through at the last minute.

I completely lost memory of who played with whom. Somehow the images of both (RCB - which I posted first and then edited) the teams got interchanged in my mind.
