Wish Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Kalaignar M Karunanithi many more happy returns of his birthday today

Rational Films or I have not wished anyone so far on their Birthdays but we take the opportunity the day has provided us with to wish Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Kalaignar M Karunanithi a very happy birthday. We also feel that he live many more years to serve both Tamil and Tamil Nadu.

Kalaignar M Karunanithi is a veteran screenwriter whose 'Parasakthi' is believed to be of world standards. It is! The film is studied in Chennai Tharamani Film Institute. The films, plays (as he is also a playwright) and all his literary works have portrayed the Tamil cultural milieu and the profound history of Tamil. His movies were pivotal to the development of Rational Movements and Rational Films in Tamil Nadu.

It is upon his ideals that we follow his path. Although to not his extent, we make sure that the Social and Cultural philosophies of the Dravidian descent is taken to the next generation. Kalaignar M Karunanithi was a star when his films and plays hit the theaters and stages. Popularity came his way as his movies highly expressed his affinity with the Tamil culture.

Furthermore, he was helped by banning his films and plays which went on to make what Kalaignar M Karunanithi today is. The Tamil Social and Rational movements might not believe in 'auspicious' days and moments but we take it as our pleasure and pride to open-heartedly Wish the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu a very Happy Birthday.

In a country torn asunder with civil war, riots against particular communities, politically triggered and motivated massacres, Naxalism, Maoism, bomb blasts, and so on, Tamil Nadu has expressed solidarity with all the communities and races making Tamil Nadu a peaceful state. If we have been able to walk on the streets with no fear of saving our lives, it is due to the intellectual predecessors and contemporaries of Tamil Nadu who propagated humanistic ideals.

We are not the state of Kashmir which was torn by leadership issues and autonomy keeping the state in constant tension. However, this not being the right occasion to talk about all these issues of the State or States, this is a day that highlights the peace and prosperity of Tamil Nadu. However, latent claims of the socialist and rationalist party (owing to pressures from the family) having turned out to be dynastic is the only Achilles heel of the party and its leader.

Wish Kalaignar M Karunanithi A Very Happy Birthday for being a significant part of the contemporary Tamil History. His contributions to Tamil literature and Cinema are incomparable! Also read my post today on 600024 website.

My views on rationalism

Rationalism is not live and let live to be a norm of the hippie society nor is it a conditioning or regulating or moral system. To me, Rationalism is a 'no-belief' system. We don't have any beliefs and none of the beliefs takes us to conclusions.

If I were a communist, I'd be looked down. If I were a capitalist, I'd be criticised.

But to be rational doesn't mean to take those criticisms and be in neither. But, Beliefs tend to drag you to their view of the world and hence, to be away from it using rationalism. Everything is an illusion. All beliefs are illusions but the reality is that this world accomodates all views and supports it with logic and reason. This world is an arbitrary one and all the changes and evolution are arbitrary. We do have a struggle for existence in all sense of the phrase.

And this struggle is what that makes us to innovate and make living conditions better but also deteriorate and create chaos due to our limitations, or the limitations of the human mind. Because We're transient beings. And no one else is eternal as well.

For example, Rationalism doesn't say if sex is right or wrong. But it looks into WHAT'S SEX?
It takes no sides and nor is it biased towards our emotions to say sex is completely right. But if two people are willing to go for it, they can do so and not if only one alone is. Because Rationalism is considerate of the others' emotions too.

And about God it says God is not necessary for mankind and ultimately 'THE ALMIGHTY MAN' too has failed just like our Prime Minister 'MANMOHAN SINGH'. Even if somoene called God existed. And to me, He didn't exist. If he did, let him do so and I am agnostic. But I don't want him. And rationalism is not agnosticism too.

It's there towards mankind, for mankind and serves mankind.

And this view may have come of certain beliefs and systems. But It's of personal experiences, knowledge and what have been personally felt so far by me.

What do you think? Hope to get your responses soon.

Thank you!
