CSK vs DC: Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers in Nagpur: What's gone wrong with CSK again?

The Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers IPL 3 match ended with the Deccan Chargers winning quite comfortably. Chennai Super Kings still irk fans by their average performance and lack of team spirit

The IPL 3 has not had a single team that could win consistently like the Australian Team in One Day Internationals and Test Matches. Except for Mumbai Indians, there seem to be no convincing winners. Almost every other team is fighting to secure the four berths. Some have failed drastically like Kings XI Punjab but last minutes heroics will not rewrite destiny in favor of them.

It is interesting to see that Sachin Tendulkar led the team better than his Australian Counterparts. Those Legendary Captains and Players won less matches than Sachin Tendulkar. What worked in favor of Sachin Tendulkar? What not in favor of those Aussie Legends like Shane Warne and Adam Gilchrist? The answer to both the questions is the sheer unpredictability of the format which led the Pakistan Team to a surprising World Cup Win!

When the Mumbai Indians were beaten recently, it showed that in this unpredictable game, any team could win and lose. Dhoni has a few winning knacks in his armory but the Chennai Super Kings must understand that that is not all that is enough. The openers, middle order and everyone has been failing and the burden falls on Dhoni and Raina over and over again.

Except Murali Vijay other Chennai lads or members of the team have not performed well. Murali Vijay seems to have a certain charm about himself. When he secures himself permanently in the Indian Team, he is sure to attract a lot of Female fans from Chennai with some marriage applications too.

We simply have to hope that the Chennai Super Kings will make it to the Semis (whether or not there is a chance from now or at least through Net Run Rate) winning the next few matches!

Dhoni ruled out of IPL Season 3 for 10 days

Disappointing news for the Chennai Super Kings fans! Dhoni to miss out on IPL for ten days! The Chennai Super Kings Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not be available for four of the IPL matches! Yesterday, while at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, the Indian Skipper was hit by a speeding Shane Bond produce.

The kiwi speedster playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL sped it up on to the elbow of the Indian Skipper who shook hands with all the opposite team members with his left hand after the Chennai Super Kings won the match. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was subjected to an X-ray which ruled out the possibilities of any fractures, or any other serious injuries.

Dhoni, though rested, will be travelling along with the Chennai Super Kings to their venues and will be seen in the dressing room along with the other team members, for their next fixture with the Delhi Daredevils, at the Feroz Shah Kotla, on 19th March 2010.

Dhoni will sit in the dressing room for the other three matches that will follow. The Indian Skipper won’t be available when the Chennai Super Kings will take on the Kings XI Punjab on 21 March 2010, the Royal Challengers Bangalore on 23 March 2010 and the Mumbai Indians on 25 March 2010.

The PTI reports, “Dhoni will be out of action for the next 10 days and the exact nature of his injury is being examined by the doctors at a private hospital here,” which was quoted from a source close to the team management.

“He (Dhoni) will be travelling with the team to Delhi,” the source further added, “An official announcement will be made once the nature of the injury is determined by the doctors.”
