CSK vs MI: Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians: IPL 3 (2010) Final won by Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians - The IPL 3, 2010 Final. Proud moment for Chennai and Chennai Super Kings. Chennai erases long time Stigma.

The team looked unorganized and looked like nine pins or eleven individuals. Today, the Chennai Super Kings becomes the proud winner of IPL 3 2010. The IPL 3 Final Match started on 25, April 2010 and Chennai turned a winner on 26th of April 2010.

Dark horses than underdogs - Chennai Super Kings eventually won the IPL 3 Championship with sheer effort and Dhoni's captaincy. Mahendra Singh Dhoni proves to be the best Captain India has ever had in any form of the game. Mahendra Singh Dhoni placed the Indian Team top of the Test Match Rankings.

Chennai Super Kings (W)innings

The Chennai Super Kings played at about 6 an over until 15 overs when Suresh Raina stepped on the gas and accelerated Chennai to a score of 168. Raina turned the lone star of the match scoring a briskly paced half century. He rocketed Chennai to a good total to defend.

Raina was dropped twice by three of the Mumbai Indians fielders where two of them avoided a collision and let the ball drop to the ground. Zaheer khan dropped a catch in much of a clumsy manner proving to be not one of the best of fielders.

The Chennai Super Kings fans did not feel that the total was inadequate and believed that the team stood a chance to win.

Mumbai Indians innings

Sachin, though injured, played the game as a true warrior. Sachin Tendulkar would never want to sit at the dressing room and watch his team lose. Sachin Tendulkar played as far as he could and the fall of his wicket at 48 paved the way for Chennai's win.

A few blunders on the part of the Mumbai Indians made them lose the game. Saurabh Tiwary, Keiron Pollard and Ambati Rayudu could have taken the crease earlier than Harbhajan Singh who lost his wicket for one run. They did not look like accelerating and the Chennai Super Kings restricted them to less than 5 or 6 runs an over.

As Abhishek Nayar got out, we witnessed something that has never been seen. Sachin Tendulkar hit the ground with his bat hard out of frustration. This win mattered most to him. Keiron Pollard looked like taking the game away from the Chennai Super Kings but somehow fell to a trick by Dhoni who fielded Matthew Hayden almost on the side screens in mid-off.

Keiron Pollard was hitting straight and a good pair of reflexive hands as Matthew Hayden's could endure his cracking shots. This was discussed on the Presentation Ceremony (Just as I am typing now) and Dhoni gave an impressive answer stating that powerful hitters hit straight on the ground and do not sweep or do late cuts. So, there is no point in having a fine leg.

Dhoni is worth the money

Dhoni (as I am typing) will go last to collect the medals letting his team go first. Dhoni is one of the highest paid cricketing stars in the IPL. He goes for achievements after achievements and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (is collecting the cheque and the trophy as Ravi Shastri announces) is worth all the money spent on him by India Cements.

While Ambani would have been slightly disappointed, one has to feel bad for Neeta Ambani who would have been lifted in the air by the aggressive Harbhajan Singh for one last time in this tournament - IPL 3, 2010!

Lalit Kumar Modi in his final address rubbished claims on the IPL for having been involved in large scale scams and practicing faulty methods of trade. IPL was almost called a gamble and match fixing allegations engulfed the IPL 3. Hardcore partying also added to the controversies! But this is not to be talked about now! This is a proud moment for Chennai fans!

Both the Chennai Super Kings and the Chennai Super Kings' fans can celebrate as long as possible.

CSK vs DC: Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers: Dhoni's judgment goes right

The Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers IPL 3 Semi-Finals 2 match ended with the Chennai Super Kings on the winning side. Chennai cruised through to the Finals to compete against the Mumbai Indians for the IPL3 Championship.

IPL is engulfed by controversies but not cricket. Cricket seems to go on. Chennai Super Kings posted a low total and went to the stadium as an eleven with Dhoni's gut instincts. The Chennai Super Kings could easily put behind Deccan Chargers despite their exuberant super hitters.

The Deccan Chargers could not chase a mere 143 and the Deccan Chargers' wickets fell cheaply like Ten pins. It is intriguing to Chennai on the final from nowhere. They seemed to be the team with lowest possibility of getting through to the Semis.

But now, they are through to the finals while others considered to be potentially in the race failed to get through at the last minute.

I completely lost memory of who played with whom. Somehow the images of both (RCB - which I posted first and then edited) the teams got interchanged in my mind.

CSK vs KXIP: Chennai super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab: Chennai Super Kings got the better off so many net run rates to be in the Semis

Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab Round 2 IPL 3 Match ended with Chennai Super Kings on the winning side. Dhoni, the eleventh-hour Samaritan, helped Chennai Super Kings to cruise through to the Semis

Kings XI Punjab startled both Chennai Super Kings and Chennai Super Kings fans. But then, Dhoni could create victory from out of the blue on a match that his team is supposed to lose. As always mentioned, Chennai Super Kings rides on Dhoni and it is said that he may not play in the next IPL 4 for Chennai.

Wish Chennai Super Kings good luck! I mean for the Semi-finals and the IPL 3 victory!

CSK vs KKR Round 2 IPL 3: Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders: Chennai Super Kings performed like Stars

CSK vs KKR: Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders match resulted in Chennai on the winning side. Chennai put on a never before IPL performance, while Kolkata Knight Riders suffered one more serious blow. Kokata Knight Riders in clutches of severe humiliation

Some of the teams have failed terribly in the IPL like the Kings XI Punjab and Kokata Knight Riders. If Kings XI Punjab failed in IPL 3, the Kolkata Knight Riders failed in three outings successively. When Shah Rukh Khan told the performance was better than last time, he tweeted, "Supporters of KKR, we can say goodbye to IPL now. Better than last year is not good enough. Just disappointed, can't make any promises for future either, have lost the right."

Some of the team owners have been led to utter humiliation and financial loss after having purchased the teams for hundreds or thousands of crores. The team administration and management seem to have tried so many things in their armory to get the team back to form but some teams do not seem to be any winning.

Kolkata Knight Riders innings

The Kolkata Knight Riders started better until Chris Gayle lost his wicket. Then the Chennai Super Kings took total control until some of the middle order batsmen consolidated with a few boundaries and sixes in the final overs. The team score was a no threatening 139 for 8 with which the Chennai Super Kings fancied their Semi Final chances.

It was not only the poor performance of Kolkata Knight Riders but it was the superior bowling of Doug Bollinger (15 for 2) and Ravichandran Ashwin (16 for 3) that reduced the Kolkata Knight Riders to such a measly total. Ravichandran Ashwin was adjudged Man of the Match for his match winning performance.

Chennai Super Kings innings

The Chennai Super Kings looked like getting back to their losing ways when Hayden was dismissed and the Kolkata Knight Riders had gone euphoric for a win. Nothing went on as desired by the Kolkata Knight Riders as Suresh Raina ensured that the Chennai Super Kings sailed to an aggressive win to top the Net Run Rate.

The Chennai Super Kings scoring at such frenetic pace was absolutely incredible. They scored 143 in just 13.3 overs which helped them take the second spot in the rankings only to be behind the superior Mumbai Indians. 62 runs off 78 runs of Suresh Raina's score came through boundaries and sixes. Murali Vijay played a supporting role scoring a 50 off 40 balls.

He rotated the strike and gave the winning shot to his senior. This makes him a player that adopts to situations and knows how to play in each situation.

What Chennai Super Kings take away from this game?\

The Chennai Super Kings take away a few things ahead of the Semi Finals. They seem to have perfectly peaked at the right time which something Dhoni does very often. He has the ability to lead from the front and pull the team to victory at the right time from nowhere. We witnessed the opposite of this trend until the arrival of Sourav Ganguly as the Indian Captain.

Dhoni further evolutionized this concept having been a youth icon. It is important for Chennai and Chennai Super Kings that the local lads are performing so well. This will have a huge say in the selection. For all those who patiently supported Chennai Super Kings for so long just like Krishnamachari Shrikanth, this win has become a sigh of relief. Thanks to Dhoni, who showed strong character in getting the team back together.

The T20 being an unpredictable format will lead to any results but Mahendra Singh Dhoni being the master of the game will do his best to take it as far as he can. For the first time in the tournament, the team looked like a real team of classy and talented players. The Chennai Super Kings is such a youthful team which has been playing like a team consisting of retired Test players.

Dhoni is likely to cash in on the euphoria set by the Chennai Super Kings's emphatic win over the Kolkata Knight Riders!

CSK vs DC: Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers in Nagpur: What's gone wrong with CSK again?

The Chennai Super Kings vs Deccan Chargers IPL 3 match ended with the Deccan Chargers winning quite comfortably. Chennai Super Kings still irk fans by their average performance and lack of team spirit

The IPL 3 has not had a single team that could win consistently like the Australian Team in One Day Internationals and Test Matches. Except for Mumbai Indians, there seem to be no convincing winners. Almost every other team is fighting to secure the four berths. Some have failed drastically like Kings XI Punjab but last minutes heroics will not rewrite destiny in favor of them.

It is interesting to see that Sachin Tendulkar led the team better than his Australian Counterparts. Those Legendary Captains and Players won less matches than Sachin Tendulkar. What worked in favor of Sachin Tendulkar? What not in favor of those Aussie Legends like Shane Warne and Adam Gilchrist? The answer to both the questions is the sheer unpredictability of the format which led the Pakistan Team to a surprising World Cup Win!

When the Mumbai Indians were beaten recently, it showed that in this unpredictable game, any team could win and lose. Dhoni has a few winning knacks in his armory but the Chennai Super Kings must understand that that is not all that is enough. The openers, middle order and everyone has been failing and the burden falls on Dhoni and Raina over and over again.

Except Murali Vijay other Chennai lads or members of the team have not performed well. Murali Vijay seems to have a certain charm about himself. When he secures himself permanently in the Indian Team, he is sure to attract a lot of Female fans from Chennai with some marriage applications too.

We simply have to hope that the Chennai Super Kings will make it to the Semis (whether or not there is a chance from now or at least through Net Run Rate) winning the next few matches!

CSK vs MI Round 2: Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians: Sachin Tendulkar dehydrated for Chennai to win

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians Round 2 IPL 3 Match ended with Chennai Super Kings on the winning side. Sachin Tendulkar's dehydration worked in favor of the Chennai Super Kings. Acute bowling and fielding of CSK led to victory

Wow! The crowd erupted! A sweet choir of "Oooohs" and "AAAhs". The stadium and the stands were magnificent. Outside a huge crowd was waiting to see the match. I went late to the stadium without a ticket. I was hoping to get one. As many as four or five tickets were transacted before me. I simply let it go! I came back home and found that Sachin Tendulkar was dehydrated.

With that came Chennai Super Kings' chances! The Chennai Super Kings decided to bat first and posted a total of 165 runs. Though with no big scores, scores of 30 to 35 from most of the players did the trick. Hayden scored 35 and Dhoni 30. Then, Mumbai Indians came out to bat and started off well. Shikhar Dhawan and Sachin Tendulkar took time time to settle and soon Dhawan departed. Sachin Tendulkar scored six fours in his overall score of 45 runs off 35 balls.

Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar was dehydrated and had to "retire ill". Sachin Tendulkar had then made 38 off 28 balls. He came back again at a crucial stage of the game and had to leave the field for he could not withstand the humid conditions of Chennai. Sunil Gavaskar mentioned that the Mumbai Indians lost because they were bereft of their leader. Sachin Tendulkar marshaled his Mumbai Indians team to great consecutive wins. They are now the top ranked team losing only one match before losing out to Chennai Super Kings yesterday.

The retired hurt of Sachin Tendulkar made the Mumbai Indians retire hurt to a loss after being on the winning trot for so long fully and exclusively led by the Little Master.

The IPL craze, fun and fan - IPL larger than life

The game is definitely a good enough fun, excitement and an enjoyment. It is definitely a larger than life game. The IPL is worth every single rupee spent on it. The fun and excitement electrified the whole atmosphere. The place filled up with loads of youngsters who wanted to take at least a good peek at the game from behind the closed grille gates. Small kids could climb walls of 6 ft high. They got some live action from before the Police frightened them off the place.

While coming back on train, a few experts of the game (commuters) said, "Chennai isn't that hotter now." "Well! This could be match fixing," said another. I could not control myself, "We Chennaiites find it hard to survive the temperature. We sweat even at nights. And Sachin may not have been able to manage." I said.

"He played Tests, One Day matches here. Why can't he play T20, that too at night?" Those memory loss patients said. "Ambani is richer than India Cements. So guess who gives money to whom," I shot back. They were people of above 40. From the Railway Station to my home, another guy (man) who asked me for the score. I just told him what I got as the update.

He said, "Is it not possible to go inside paying money?" I said, "The Police will (lathi)charge your bottoms for that." He said that he saw a cricket match between India and West Indies. He was a coolie. He told me that he had once gotten in by paying a security personnel Rs. 20 per head. I said, "This is not possible now."

He (was drunk) said it was before 15 years and said, "Sunil Gavaskar played a very fine innings. Krishnamachari Srikanth is my favorite. Whichever bowler bowls, he hits six. I saw VRS Richard (Vivian Richards), Wals (Walsh), a great batsman. I saw all of them!"

PS: I have started hunting tickets for the next IPL match! So, hopefully I will post live action right from the Stands!

CSK vs RR Round 2 IPL 3: Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals: CSK posted 246 past their earlier 240 in IPL 1

Chennai Super Kings getting better as a team. Got the better off their rivals Rajasthan Royals the first time in three years. Fielding and Bowling need to improve

Your Ad Here

The Chennai Super Kings innings

Murali Vijay has played a fantastic innings. In today's T20 powered innings, what Sanath Jayasuriya played a decade back is possible to more batsmen. But then, these batsmen are not devoid of their class. Murali vijay may well be on his way to becoming a Test, One day and an important T20 batsman. With his two previous match winning knocks, Murali Vijay made himself available for the Twenty20 World Cup 2010.

Entire Chennai was waiting for Albie Morkel to play a fine innings. He proved his capability with this innings but what the spectators expect from him is another fine innings where he marshals the Chennai Super Kings to an emphatic win.

It was insignificant that Dhoni fired yesterday. The team was batting well at least. A total of 246 and a breezy knock of 127 off 56 balls from Murali Vijay was good enough to announce the Chennai Super Kings getting back to form. But in IPL, the results may still go more unpredictable.

The Rajasthan Royals innings

The Rajasthan Royals is considered as one of the best teams in the IPL but there are teams who keep constantly getting the better off each other. The poor fielding and bowling of Chennai Super Kings let the Rajasthan Royals post 223 runs to lose the game. The Chennai Super Kings's bowling has always remained ordinary and they could very well let the others take advantage of their bowling. The team that is destined to lose might go on to win or might at least come closer to victory like Rajasthan Royals did yesterday.

The Chennai Super Kings are good at reflexive fielding but one wonders why they fail tremendously in catching sitters. Do they become shaky? Are they nervous? Or is that fear of failure? With Naman Ojha's 94 off 55 and Shane Watson's muscle powered 60 off 25, the Rajasthan Royals chased from almost 200 runs required off 90 balls and came closer to victory with only 23 runs short of finishing on the winning side.

A Doug Bollinger has to land only a couple of days before to rescue the team from a Chennai Super Kings bowling massacre. Improvements on ground fielding, catching and bowling (introducing new and effective bowlers) will take the Chennai Super Kings past the first round and move them to the top four from where they can aim for an IPL victory!

Paiyaa Review - Karthik scores - Lingusamy Fails

Paiyaa is a sci-fi, fantasy, fiction, super hero subject. Welcome to the world of the protagonist Paruthiveeran Karthi who falls in love with a girl at first sight and without seeking a job, all he has to do is get Thamanna to sit on his lap. Is there any dramatic problem? Oh yes there is! There is a problem that prevents Karthi from getting his dream girl Thamanna!

Bingo! A band of mobile rowdies who is always on the move on a Mahindra Scorpio or some other SUV which is the most preferred car of rowdies along with Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Biriyani, Fried Rice and heaps of other non-vegetarian food.

The story starts off in Bangalore or Bengaluru where there is a Telugu girl(!) and a Tamil guy(!). All of Karthi's friends are Tamils! There are about three or four guys and one girl who stay in the same room(!). They are friends(!). Well there is nothing as shocking as that! But that particular part is well handled by Lingusamy. He portrays them as friends who work in the Software companies in Bangalore.

From then on, there are several twists and turns (a roller coaster ride) that are anything but unpredictable. The moment you enter the theater you are given a blueprint, process flow or a screenplay of the whole story. You are well on your way to witnessing the future of the protagonists. Paiyaa is a real time travel as well as a test to your patience and time, as you have devoted your next three hours to them. You are sure to hold them responsible for the time and money spent on Paiyaa.

Synopsis

Boy (Karthi) meets girl (Thamanna). Boy falls in love with girl. Boy wants to get girl. Girl's family is a band of mobile rowdies. Boy fights with rowdies. Girl hugs boy, voila!

Lingusamy has relied heavily upon action blocks and intentional belly dancing by Thamanna to rake in the audience. Thanks to a deliberate shot that exposes Thamanna's slender flabbiness around her waistline by letting her hop like a Kangaroo!  That is one helluva good hip-hop! Oh my! I am helping to shove audience into the theaters!

"Thuli Thuli Thuli Mazhaiyai", "En kadhal Solla", songs share huge compatibility with a commercial film! The songs are merely intended to entertain than to be considered songs of class. Locations are "color correction"ed to be extra green! Location has purely come about as indistinguishable from Indian roads to foreign roads! Lingusamy and his lens man owe big time credit to the National Highways Authority of India who made some investments on Highways which was all aesthetically exploited by the Cinematographer of Paiyaa.

Friends force Karthi to an interview, buy him formal wears which he has never put on before. In the shopping complex, Karthi finds Thamanna and RUNs behind her. Friends send him off to an interview wishing him good luck but he finds the girl exiting the company, RUNs behind her and misses the interview.

The same girl happens to travel with him to Mumbai on a car. Thamanna comes teary eyed as she is going to be married to a guy who she doesn't like. Karthi does the rescue in much of a cool manner fully and exclusively funded by his friends! Karthi reverse gears to escape from those in pursuit of Thamanna on a speeding highway. As he turns around to head the other way, he finds himself chased again by a gang of rowdies. This time, it is not Thamanna who is chased, but it is Karthi who is chased.

Karthi takes Thamanna by surprise as he takes the onslaught on four jeeps full of men at the same time. The reason being that he once had been to Mumbai for an interview and he had beaten down a gang leader and his henchmen to the extent of vomiting blood. The rowdies seek revenge.

Now as the danger is building up, Karthi takes home Thamanna - after a single fight scene - before which the ever fighting and angry Karthi gets purposely beaten by the rowdies until Thamanna is forced into the car by the rowdies. Karthi waits till she is forced into the car and then suddenly gets angry and determined to beat them down - the rowdies fly from inside the car after which the rowdies run for cover.

Friends arrive straight to the spot just yards away from where Karthi was fighting - all the way from Bangalore. Karthi's friends tell Thamanna of his love for her and Thamanna hugs Karthi! Boy, this format is a story of the mid 2005s after which such stories have become extinct. Some of the similar films to Paiyaa are RUN, Gillie and many other films of the past decade.

The purpose of chase sequences and fight sequences are to act as the emotive catalyst! But while imitating Hollywood Films, Kollywood Film Directors miss out on the emotive aspect of the fight sequences, chase sequences and the visual spectacles. Severely lacking in this film is the subtext of the dialogs which do not express or imply an underlining story but speaks fact or what we have already seen on screen or worse, what we are going to see on the screen.

Anonymous characters pop up like pop up messages that block the progression of ourselves on to the next step. Similarly, the screenplay is also studded with such sleaze piece characters who spoil the look of the whole film. Karthi does well on every occasion though reminds us of his two previous films. Yuvan Shankar Raja is a valuable USP to the film. Cinematography and Costumes Design are greatly done for the two protagonists which adds to the beauty of the Cinematography.

Rational Films Rating for Paiyaa: 0.5/5

Paiyaa takes a predictable Highway route to Bombay -  a straight road that has no twists and turns!

Thiruppathi Brothers - An interesting incident

I was working on a stop gap job in a Hotel last year during March-April 09. I booked a reservation on behalf of Lingusamy owned Thiruppathi Brothers (the hotel's regular client). The Production Assistant said only one person was going to stay and it was for one day (the one day was not stressed and he made it sound like a formality as I was asking him for the same).

On the reservation date came a GIRL who kept on making phone CALL from the Front Desk. She took the room number reserved by Thiruppathi Brothers. In the Hotel, unmarried couples are not allowed. But a little later without my (or any of our) knowledge came another guy. She spoke nicely to me till then. The night passed and they left around 5 AM the morning after next. While leaving the hotel room, they gave back the keys and said, "We are going for the shoot,"

A few days later the bill showed Rs. 5400 instead of Rs. 2700 which they should have incurred. The Production Manager called up and said, "I told you that the reservation was for only one day. It is not my mistake. So, I cannot pay anything more than Rs. 2700." Finally, the hotel manager told me that I had to bear the cost not wanting to lose a valued customer as Thiruppathi Brothers.

Later, I learned that the couple(?) who stayed in the room were scheduled for a morning shoot and they came in around 8 PM or so and they couldn't have left the room at night since the hotel had a 24 hour check out. So they planned for a morning check out without telling us that it was a check out. That way, they did not have to pay Rs. 2700. Got the story?

The Hotel Management often warned us of possible cheating by the Film Industry's lower cadres. But then they did not want to lose out on a valuable customer and put the burden on me. Guess who came for my rescue? Thiruppathi Brothers! They sent a Production Manager who offered to pay and stressed on the reputation of Thiruppathi Brothers! The mistake was not on the part of Thiruppathi Brothers but on the part of the Production Assistant who feared a debit on his salary.

CSK vs RCB round 2: Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: Law of averages favors CSK: RCB goes clueless on reason for loss

The Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 3 second round match ended up with Chennai Super Kings on the winning side. The law of averages favors Chennai Super Kings - Royal Challengers Bangalore clueless on loss

The Royal Challengers Challenge

The Royal Challengers might have gone a little clueless on what cost them the match. Perhaps, they took the losing Chennai Super Kings team too easily. But it was apparent that in their innings the Royal Challengers did make a few attempts to win. Jacques Kallis's classy batting that maneuvered the gaps could not come handy once more. After Robin Utthappa was dropped, the team depended on him to repeat the trick that he did on his home turf.

But the clear Chennai MA Chidambaram pitch is always a flat wicket which makes Sachin Tendulkar say that it is his favorite ground. Robin Utthappa went out early in the uncertain T20 format of the game. Jakati's bowling was unexpected considering the bowler is little known in the cricketing fraternity. Jacques Kallis could not accelerate the innings after building up a good launching pad. The run out cost not only his wicket but also the game for the Royal Challengers.

The RCB could post only about 161 runs for the Chennai Super Kings to chase who were seriously held up in the 15th over and the run rate did not move much further until Kevin Peterson and Cameron White chipped in with a few shots.

The Chennai Super Kings innings watched from an electric train

I was travelling on train and while going past the stadium a few of us could not resist to take a look for a few seconds. Near the entrance on the train, we could not look at each others' faces just because though we were embarrassed by our acts, cricket is simply irresistible to every Indian. It seemed like eternity when we were seconds away from the Stadium. "Still it has not come," one of the commuters said.

The moment arrived. Voila! Live Cricket from Electric Train. It seemed to be very close. We could make out that Matthew Hayden was playing. The RCB bowler ran into the pitch. The non-striker was attempting a run. Seconds flashed and it was all over! We got back to our seats and I heard some of them speaking, "Hayden is still in,"

Still excited faces! I knew they were going to remain so for long. A surprising candidate was Murali Vijay who could play the best of cricketing shots and help the Chennai Super Kings win the match. Amidst IPL T20 sloggers Murali Vijay did a good job with his bat. Surprising that the Chennai Super Kings could make a win with less of hiccups though they had some after losing two quick wickets of Dhoni and Morkel.

This win helped build the team morale of the Chennai Super Kings! Dhoni's presence has also made the team a better one. There will be significant improvements when the team bowls than bats. Dhoni could maneuver the fielders and fetch wins from nowhere out of the blue. Captain Cool remains cool even when a few catches are dropped. He always thinks about what next to do when something adverse happens. That is what that makes Dhoni win matches than the "Midas Touch" which is pure myth!

It is presence of mind, hard work and ability to be cool all the time that makes Dhoni a very good Captain!
